Bench Twins is a social furniture for a small living space.
Idea was to create a simple, nordic, beautifully made bench that has emphasis on quality craftsmanship and local materials. What makes Twins special is a hidden extra function– a whole extra bench. Having two benches in one gives more opportunities when there is people coming over. When there is no extra seating needed then the two benches merge into one again, giving more space and lessening the visual fuss in the room.
Twins were created for Stockholm furniture fair in 2012. It was a collaboration between textile and furniture department.
Bench Twins was a nominee of design award Bruno in 2012 for best industrial design.
